Mumbai, July 22: BJP President Amit Shah and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, visited the home of legendary singer and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar on Sunday evening. Shah, who was in Mumbai to address party meetings and workers, met the singer at her home.

Lata Mangeshkar shared the pictures of her meeting with the BJP President and Maharashtra Chief Minister. Writing on Twitter, she said that "It was a day of great happiness for us, as BJP Rashtriya Adhyaksha (President) Amit Shah and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with some senior leaders visited our home. It was a pleasant experience to meet and talk to all."

Check the pictures of the meeting shared by Lata Mangeshkar, in the tweet below:

BJP President Amit Shah was slated to meet Lata Mangeshkar on June 6, under the Sampark for Samarthan initiative. The BJP leader had met actress Madhuri Dixit and industrialist Ratan Tata in Mumbai but could not meet Mangeshkar, as she wasn't keeping well and the meeting had to be called off. However, if the pictures and message shared by Mangeshkar are anything to go by, Shah has more than made up for the missed meeting then.

The BJP President had also met Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray at the latter's residence Matoshree, but there were no visits or communication on Sunday between the leaders of two parties after Shiv Sena refused to participate in the No-Confidence Motion against Narendra Modi government in the Lok Sabha on Friday.
