New Delhi, September 1: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal launched a special campaign to fight the menace of Dengue in Delhi. Kejriwal shared an image of himself and his family inspecting his home to "make sure there is no standing clean water in any part of the house." The chief minister said that ensuring no standing clean water in the house is the best way to protect families from Dengue. "My family and I inspected our home today to make sure there is no standing clean water in any part of the house. This is the best way to protect your family from dengue. I am happy to see people across Delhi participate in this campaign," wrote Kejriwal in his tweet and shared pictures of him and his wife. The Delhi chief minister shared his image and message along with the hashtag #10Hafte10Baje10Minute." The hashtag conveys the message that every person in Delhi should give their 10 minutes every day for 10 weeks so as to avoid Dengue outbreak in the national capital.

"In 2015 — the first year of our government — 15,867 cases were reported, but in 2018 it was reduced to 2,798. Within these years Delhi witnessed 80 per cent decrease in the cases of dengue," Kejriwal said in a press conference on Wednesday announcing his new campaign.
