Results of the Banka Lok Sabha elections, along with all other parliamentary constituencies, has been declared. Giridhari Yadav of the Janata Dal (United) has won the seat . Notification for the polls in Banka, along with other constituencies to be contested in the second phase, was issued by the ECI on March 20. Candidates were allowed to file their nominations till March 26, set as the final date for submitting candidatures. From the Banka constituency, the Mahagathbandhan has fielded the sitting RJD MP Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav, whereas, the NDA candidate is JD(U)'s Giridhari Yadav.

In the 2014 general elections, Banka was wrested by Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav of RJD from Putul Kumari, the incumbent MP of the Congress. The poll battle was close, with Yadav inching ahead of Kumari with nearly 10,000 votes.

Results of the poll battle in Banka, along with other parliamentary constituencies across the nation, will be declared by the Election Commission on May 23, 2019.
