Hyderabad, November 2: The Bharatiya Janata Party has released the second list of 28 candidates for upcoming assembly elections in Telangana. On October 20, the party announced candidates for 38 assembly seats. Union Minister JP Nadda released the first list. In the 119-member Telangana assembly, the party currently has only 5 MLAs. Meanwhile, the Congress on Thursday announced an alliance Left and Telugu Desam Party (TDP). The primary contest is against the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the newly formed alliance. As per the seat sharing formula, the Congress will contest on 95 seats, and the TDP has been allotted 14 seats, while Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) and the Communist Party of India will contest on remaining 10 seats. The ruling TRS has already announced 107 candidates. Meanwhile, All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) declared nominees for eight seats

The BJP also announced its first list of candidates for Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram assembly elections on Friday. Out of 230 seats the party released the names of 177 candidates for the elections in Madhya Pradesh, while it also released names of 224candidates for Mizoram assembly elections.

Telangana will undergo assembly elections on December 7 along with Rajasthan. The assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram will be conducted on November 28. Meanwhile, voting for the first phase of Chhattisgarh elections will be held on November 12 in 18 districts and in Northern Chhattisgarh, it will be held on November 20. The counting of votes for all the states will be done on December 11.
