Bulandshahr, December 5: Two days after the Bulandshahr mob violence, in which a police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh was killed by a mob, Uttar Pradesh DGP OP Singh has stated that it is a big conspiracy and not any law and order issue. Singh was killed while protesting against alleged cow slaughter in Siyana village.

Speaking with the media, he said, “The incident in Bulandshahr is a big conspiracy. This is not only a law and order issue, how did the cattle carcass reach there? Who brought it, why & under what circumstances?” Bulandshahr Mob Violence: ADG Anand Kumar Forms 6 SIT to Arrest Yogesh Raj, Others; Says Situation Under Control.

A day after Bulandshahr mob violence, comments from the leaders of parties heated the political arena in the country. On one side, Union Minister Uma Bharti and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi gave it a communal angle, while on the other hand, NHRC issued a notice to the Yogi Adityanath government, seeking a report in four weeks.

However, Opposition parties are not satisfied with the actions taken by the UP government so far. AIMIM’s Owaisi advised Adityanath to concentrate on UP and focus on maintaining law and order, rather than renaming cities. He also stated Gau Rakshak get full protection in UP under BJP government. He said, “Gau rakshaks get full protection, and now a monster is created. This monster has been created by the government. Cow's life is more important than that of a human being; this is BJP's responsibility.”

Likewise, Union Minister Uma Bharti, giving it a communal angle, said while speaking to reporters in Bhopal on Tuesday, “There was a gathering in the name of Tablighi Ijtema. This gathering was kept so secret that even reporters were not allowed to cover it. Around 10-15 lakh tents were set up within an area of 6-7 kilometres. During that time an incident happened, people found pieces of cow’s meat in nearby villages. This is a serious issue. I want the state government to deal with this seriously. I won’t go into details anymore.”

Earlier on Tuesday, feeling the heat and pressure, CM Adityanath called for an emergency meeting of senior administrators at his residence on Tuesday night and directed them to take stringent action against the perpetrators. Bulandshahr Violence: UP CM Yogi Adityanath Expresses Grief Over Deaths, Seeks Probe Report in 2 Days.

Altogether, four people have been arrested, while 4-5 people have been detained in the case. Police have registered an FIR against 28 people and constituted six SIT teams to probe the matter. The ADG confirmed that prime conspirator of the riot – Bajrang Dal’s leader Yogesh Raj – is still absconding and there are other Hindu outfits involved.
