New Delhi, March 5: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora on Tuesday said in a comment that Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) are being treated like a football as political parties put the blame of losing on EVMs after elections. Ahmed Patel Accuses Election Commission of Delaying Announcement of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Date, Says 'ECI Giving Long Rope to Modi Government For Campaigning'.

Sunil Arora said that, "Sorry to say we have made EVMs a football. If the result is X, then EVM is good and if the result is Y, the EVM is not good. It is as if the EVM is voting."

Arora also said that India has been using EVMs for more than two decades. He then went to add that even the results in the states where assembly elections were held have had different results.
