According to the video, the young man was recording the minister during the inspection when Verma reached towards his phone with his left hand and appeared to slap him with his right hand. A voice in the video can be heard questioning the minister, saying, “Oye maar kaise raha hai” (“How are you hitting?”). The incident reportedly took place while Verma was inspecting a road in the Tilak Nagar area as part of his duties as PWD minister.
