Exit poll results of the elections on 11 Lok Sabha seats of North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura are out. Arunachal Pradesh witnessed simultaneous elections on 2 Lok Sabha and 60 Assembly seats. The overall trend is showing that BJP is winning the elections on 300+ seats, while Congress is leading on 120+ seats. As per India Today, BJP is  leading with 6 parliamentary seats in the states. Congress is getting 3-4 seats and Others are getting 2 seats.

Arunachal Pradesh went for polling on April 11 in the first phase of elections. Simultaneous elections were held on Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in the state bordering China. Over 58 percent voters cast their votes till polling ended at 5pm on Thursday. In Assembly elections in 2014, Congress won 44 seats and Nabam Tuki was declared CM. After two years the Congress Legislatives defected emasse to PPA and Pema Khandu was elected as CM, after some political indifference he extended his support to BJP by defecting with 33 MLAs.

Voting for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 for two seats in Manipur was held during first and second phase of polling on April 11 and April 18. Voting for Outer Manipur was held in the first phase, total of around 78 percent voters cast their vote. Elections for Inner Manipur was held in the second phase in which around 76 percent electorate cast their vote. Fate of 19 candidates was locked in EVMs after polling ended at 5 pm on Thursday. In Lok Sabha Elections 2014, Congress won both the seats in Manipur.

 

Elections for two Lok Sabha seats in Meghalaya was held in first phase of polling on April 11. The total polling percentage recorded in Meghalaya Till 5 pm on Thursday was 62%. Voting was held across 1,114 polling booths spread across Shillong and Tura constituencies. Fate of total 4 candidates was locked in EVMs. The main contest was between BJP and Congress. In Lok Sabha elections held in 2014, Congress candidate Vincent Pala won on Sabha seat while the National People's Party candidate Purno Agitok Sangma won the Tura seat.

Exit Poll Results For Lok Sabha Elections 2019: BJP-led NDA Set to Win

Election was held on only seat in Mizoram in first phase of polling on April 11. The seat is reserved for scheduled tribe. Over 62 per cent voters exercised their right of voting by the end of polling. The main contest on this seat is between Congress, BJP and Mizo National Front. In the last Parliamentary election on this seat Congress candidate C.L. Ruala was declared victorious with over 2 lakh votes. Fate of 6 candidates was sealed in EVMs on Thursday.

Election for the lone Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland was held in the first phase on April 11. A total of four candidates were wresting for the only Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland. A total of 78 percent of voting was cast till the polling ended at 5 pm on Thursday.  The current CM of Nagaland TR Zeliang belongs to the Naga People's Front party. The main contest was between Congress and NPF. In the Lok Sabha Elections held in 2014, NPF defeated Congress by a margin of around 38 percent.

Voting for the only Lok Sabha and 32 Assembly seats in Sikkim was held in the first phase on April 11. In the simultaneous elections held in North Eastern state, a total of 69 percent voters turnout was recorded till 6 pm on Thursday. Sikkim is a Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) dominated state. In 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Prem Das Rai of SDF won the elections by nearly the double number of votes received by Congress. In the Assembly Elections held on 32 seats along with Lok Sabha in 2014, SDF won 22 seats and Sikkim Krantikari Morcha SKM won 10 seats.

Voting on two Lok Sabha seats in Tripura was held in the first and third phase of polling on April 11 and April 23. Polling on Tripura West seat was held in first phase while voting on Tripura East seat  was held in second phase. The Tripura East Lok Sabha seat is reserved for Schedule Tribe. Over 80 percent voters turnout was recorded on Tripura West seat till the voting ended on Thursday at 6 pm and over 78 percent polling was recorded on Tripura East seat till the voting concluded on April 23. In Lok Sabha Elections 2014, CPI(M) won on both Lok Sabha seats in the state.
