The results of the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Constituency will be declared today. The counting of votes began on the Parliamentary seat in Gujarat at 8 am on Thursday, May 23. Voting took place for the Gandhinagar seat in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 23. A total voter turnout of 59.84 per cent was recorded, as per Election Commission of India. From here, the Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded party president Amit Shah, dropping sitting MP LK Advani. The Indian National Congress has announced Dr CJ Chavda.  Whereas, the Bahujan Samaj Party announced Jayendra Rathod from Gandhinagar.

As of 2014, this constituency comprises seven legislative assemblies. Polling will be held on April 23 while the counting of votes will take place on May 23. Gandhinagar constituency is not reserved for any category, which means it comes in the general category.

In the 2014 General Elections, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L. K. Advani had won the Gandhinagar seat with a huge majority and had defeated Kiritbhai Ishvarbhai Patel of the Congress party.
