Vanga Geethaviswanath of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party won from the Kakinadad Lok Sabha Constituency in Andhra Pradesh.  Geethaviswanath defeated Sunil Kumar Chalamalasetty of the Telugu Desam Party by a margin of 25,738 votes. The election here were conducted on April 11, 2019 as per the Phase 1 schedule. The constituency number of this place is PC 6. The counting of votes took place on May 23. The last general election in the year 2014 was won by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate Thota Narsimham who bagged the total of 5,14,402 votes and is also the current MP on the seat. The runner up of the election was Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress (YSRC) party candidate Chalamalamsetty Sunil with a total of 5,10,971 votes.
