Madhya Pradesh, May 2: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has spoken on the discrepancies during medical examinations for the post of Police constables in Dhar & Bhind. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that "We are taking this very seriously, strictest action will be taken against those found responsible. A probe is underway." Earlier, an outrageous incident had emerged from the state of Madhya Pradesh where medical tests for police constable aspirants was being held. The candidates caste was stamped on the bodies of the aspirants. The pictures of the incident had gone viral on social media and Twitter and the move is widely criticised.

The Madhya Pradesh Government had issued a notification mentioning vacancies for the post constables in the police department. A written examination was held which was conducted by the Professional Examination Board for filling up a total of 14, 088 vacancies in the department.  The candidates who cleared the written examination held between December 10 to 21, 2017 have to get their physical examination done at various centres allotted to candidates. The medical test was preceded by a physical efficiency examination and document testing stage.

Another shocking incident came up from Madhya Pradesh recruitment of police constables in Bhind. According to a video that has gone viral, it can be seen that medical checkup for men and women candidates were done in the same room by male officers. While the men paraded semi-naked in front of women. Women's measurements were taken by male officers. The footage showed young male applicants stripped to their undergarments had lined up for getting their height and chest measured in the same room where woman candidates were also being checked. Surprisingly, no women doctors or nurses were present in the room, where the female applicants were being checked.
