New Delhi, April 9: Days after Elections Commission cautioned the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to be more careful on his 'Modiji ki Sena' remark, Union Minister Rajnath Singh commented that the UP CM could have 'slipped his tongue' and advised the 'politicisation shouldn't be done on the issue'.

Reacting on the Congress taking a jibe by stating that Election Commission wrote a love letter to Adityanath for violating the Model Code of Conduct, Singh advised that these things should not be politicised.  Yogi Adityanath Calls Indian Army ‘ModiJi Ki Sena’, Gets Slammed by Opposition Leaders.

Singh said, "Nikal gaya hoga moonh se, un ke moonh se nikal gaya hoga.... Kisi bhi system ka politicisation nahi hona chahiye. Aur hum log kabhi uska politicisation karne ka sochte bhi nahi hain. (He (Yogi Adityanath) could have uttered the phrase mistakenly. Politicisation shouldn't be done of any system and we (BJP) never think of doing the politicisation of it)."

Earlier, after the Election Commission let off the Adityanath for calling Indian Army personnel 'Modi ji ki Sena', Congress took a swipe by stating that EC wrote 'love letter' to UP CM for violating Model Code of Conduct'.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala took to Twitter and wrote, "Has the MCC now become 'Modi Code of Conduct'. Adityanath insults the Indian Army -- EC writes a love letter to him." Adding more, he even commented on NITI Aayog vice chairman remarks, "NITI Aayog vice chairman criticises the NYAY scheme -- EC says 'don't do it in future'."
