Srinagar, July 13: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti has issued a warning today to the central government against making any attempts to break her party. While talking to reporters in Srinagar said that the political condition in the valley would worsen if the centre tries to interfere in the PDP’s internal matters and it would give birth to Yasin Malik’s and Salahuddin’s as it happened in 1987.

Mufti said, “If the central government tries to dismiss voting rights of people as it did in 1987, and if it tries to interfere in the internal matters of the party or creates divide then it will have a dangerous outcome. People like Yasin Malik and Salahuddin will be born like it happened in 1987. "

Last Month, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) pulled out of an alliance with the PDP in Jammu and Kashmir which led to the collapse of the Mufti government. The speculations are spreading across the valley that the BJP is in touch with the several PDP MLAs to form a government in the state.

Yesterday, the PDP sacked its president of its Bandipora district, Yasir Reshi after he extended support to dissatisfied party leaders and called for an alternative to the two-family system of power in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier this week, three PDP MLA’s held the former chief minister responsible for the collapse of the government in the state.
