Amravati, April 8: Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh will take place in a single phase on April 11. The 175-member assembly will go for polls along with the Lok Sabha elections 2019. The main contest will be between Chandrababu Naidu led Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jagan Mohan Reddy's Yuvajana Sramika Rythu (YSR) Congress.  In 2014, the YSR Congress had won Mydukur, Nagari and Nandikotkur assembly seats, while Mylavaram and Nandikotkur seats were cliched by the TDP. Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Phase I: List of States And Constituencies Voting On April 11.

The last date of filing nomination for the seats was March 25. The scrutiny of nominations papers was done on March 26. Meanwhile, the last date of withdrawal of candidature was March 28. In 2014, the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election took place on  April 30 and May 7, 2014, to elect members to the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The results were declared on May 16, 2014. The TDP led by N. Chandrababu Naidu won a majority of 102 seats out of the total 175 seats in Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) led by K. Chandrasekhar Rao won in the new state of Telangana.
