Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin on Saturday, October 10, accused the INDIA bloc, led by Rahul Gandhi, and the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), associated with Arvind Kejriwal's supporters, of attempting to destabilise India. His remarks came amid heightened political tensions ahead of the CJP's planned protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Nabin described the two groups as “anarchic” and alleged that their actions were driven by political interests and the influence of foreign forces. He claimed that the opposition was attempting to create instability instead of accepting the people's electoral mandate. He claimed that the opposition groups were uncomfortable with India's development and its efforts to become self-reliant. Nitin Nabin Slams INDIA Bloc, CJP Ahead of Jantar Mantar Protest
#WATCH | Delhi: BJP National President Nitin Nabin says, "Today, an attempt is being made to create a highly dangerous and serious situation in the country. Efforts are underway to destabilize the nation—where 1.4 billion people are living in peace and harmony, contributing collectively to India's development. Who is doing this? Two anarchic groups: one led by Rahul Gandhi of the 'INDI Alliance,' and the other led by Arvind Kejriwal's associates, CJP. I want to state clearly to both these groups that the people of India see right through your motives. Your 'anarchist competition', vying to see who can create more instability in the country, will not succeed. These are people that the public has rejected... instead of accepting that verdict or learning from it, you have hatched a plot to destabilize the country. I want to say that you are undertaking these efforts, driven by your political agendas, at the behest of foreign forces..."
He adds, "Despite persistent global crises, the country is forging ahead on a path of continuous progress. Yet, this fact rankles you. You cannot digest India's growth, progress, and advancement. You cannot bear to see India moving forward as a self-reliant and empowered nation, and you are attempting to destabilize it at the behest of foreign forces. Let me state clearly: Indian democracy possesses immense strength, and the patriots of this nation will unite to thwart your designs."

CJP's Jantar Mantar Protest Over CEC Gyanesh Kumar
Nabin's remarks came as CJP and several student organisations prepared for a demonstration at Jantar Mantar on October 10. The protest has also drawn attention to the opposition's broader allegations of electoral irregularities. The INDIA bloc has separately intensified its campaign over claims of “vote chori”, with opposition leaders raising the issue with President Droupadi Murmu on Friday. Authorities have tightened security ahead of the CJP demonstration, while reports have emerged of protesters being detained or prevented from travelling to the national capital. The restrictions and detentions have added to the political tensions surrounding the planned agitation.
BJP Leader Says Opposition Cannot Undermine India's Democracy
Nabin maintained that India's democratic institutions would remain resilient and that attempts to create unrest would not succeed. He also accused the opposition of undermining the people's mandate by questioning electoral processes, while asserting that the BJP and its supporters would respond to such efforts.
The allegations against the INDIA bloc and CJP were made by the BJP president amid an ongoing political dispute over the Election Commission and the revision of electoral rolls. Nabin did not publicly identify the alleged foreign forces he referred to or provide evidence for his claim that the opposition groups were acting at their behest.
