New Delhi, November 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, November 28, congratulated Uddhav Thackeray for taking oath as chief minister of Maharashtra. The Shiv Sena chief is heading the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi, an alliance of NCP, Sena and Congress. Among the prominent dignitaries present on the occasion were over 500 farmers and farm widows from all over the state, Uddhav Thackery's cousin and MNS President Raj Thackeray, business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani and son Anant were also present.

Also present were at least three Chief Ministers from different states and six former Maharashtra Chief Ministers, including Sharad Pawar, Manohar Joshi, Sushilkumar Shinde, Ashok Chavan, Prithviraj Chavan and Devendra Fadnavis.
