Rajmahal Vidhan Sabha Constituency Result in Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2019: Anant Kumar Ojha of BJP Wins MLA Seat

Ranchi, December 18: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Anant Kumar Ojha was elected as an MLA from Rajmahal seat of Jharkhand assembly which went to polls on December 20. Tajuddin of the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) came a distant second. For the Jharkhand assembly polls, the JMM has formed an alliance with the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2019 Dates And Full Schedule Announced by Election Commission: Polling in 5 Phases.

According to the seat-sharing arrangement, the JMM will contest the bulk of the seats - 43 - in the 81-member house, the Congress will fight 31 and the RJD seven. In the 2014 Jharkhand assembly elections, the BJP won 37 seats, while its then ally AJSU bagged five. Congress won seven seats and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha 19. Eight seats were won by the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik). However, six of their legislators joined the BJP in 2015.

Polling for 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand was held in five phases. In the final results, the JMM won 30, while its ally Congress and RJD bagged 16 and one seats respectively. The BJP could win 25 seats.
