Kolkata, December 4: In a shocking incident, West Bengal police have recovered the dead body of Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker from a pond under Madhabdihi police station limits in Burdwan district on Wednesday. The person has been identified as Anil Manji. The police have begun their investigation.
According to reports, Manjhi was missing since Tuesday night, and residents of Madhabdihi found his body floating in the pond on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress has pointed fingers on the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party and alleged local MLA Nepal Guha for the death of Manjhi. However, local BJP leader Sunil Gupta has quashed the allegations.
