Himachal Pradesh, July 15: Movement of pilgrims towards the Shrikhand Mahadev peak has been temporarily stopped due to breakage of a glacier at Nain Sarover, sliding land/rock at various points and due to rains. On Tuesday, four pilgrims were injured due to glacier break. Shrikhand Mahadev is one of the abodes of Lord Shiva and is considered a revered pilgrimage place for Hindus. For the safety of the pilgrims, adequate medical camps were there to provide treatment, to those who suffered from breathlessness.

Due to low oxygen at high altitude, many people suffer from breathlessness. Several incidents were reported in the past where people lost their lives because of breathlessness. The 35-km harsh track from Jaon under Nirmand is not meant for the faint-hearted. Medically unfit people are not allowed to move towards the shrine.
