Mumbai, November 20: Uddhav Thackeray, Shiv Sena chief speaking on the issue of Ram Mandir, said, "Just like Rs 15 lakh in everyone’s account, is Ram Mandir also a jumla? When we're taking up this issue, we aim to ensure that Ram Mandir is actually built. This issue comes up only during the elections and once elections are over it is forgotten." In a veiled attack at the Centre, the Shiv Sena chief said that the current government had committed an act of sedition as it came into power by making fake promises to the people of the country. "You came into power by lying to people, this is also a kind of sedition. Misleading people of this country is also sedition," he said.

Recently, Thackeray launched a scathing attack at the Centre, saying that it "doesn't need any friend or political alliance." Addressing a rally in Shirdi, Thackeray said, "Atal ji's (Atal Bihari Vajpayee) government was stable because of the support of many political parties. But current government's (Centre) attitude is such that it does not need political alliances or support."
