Villager Thrashed by SDM for Complaining on the State of Roads in Rajasthan, Video Goes Viral!

Rajasthan, June 13: A man was allegedly thrashed by an administration official and arrested on charges of misbehaviour after he complained about the condition of roads in his village in Rajasthan's Karuali district. According to a PTI report, Prakash had a verbal spat with Todabhim sub divisional magistrate (SDM) Jagdish Arya after he raised the issue of roads during a 'Nyay Apke Dwar' camp.

Prakash was allegedly pushed, thrashed and dragged by the SDM before handing him over to the Police. A bystander reportedly shot a video of the incident, and circulated it on social media.

Karauli district collector has alleged that Prakash had created nuisance and misbehaved with the SDM. As quoted the collector said, "A probe has been ordered in the incident but primary investigation reveals that the man had misbehaved with the officer. No action against him has been taken so far."
