As Valentine’s Day is a festival of love, it is hard to associate it with Indian politicians, because we have always seen them bickering inside and outside Parliament. Politics is considered such a heartless profession that it's difficult to imagine politicians having tender human emotions of love. But despite that, some politicians had very "aww"-inspiring love stories. Here are some instances of romance and love in Indian politics.

Sushma Swaraj – Kaushal  Swaraj

Sushma Swaraj was married on July 13, 1975, to a fellow advocate Swaraj Kaushal at the Supreme Court. Kaushal is now a senior advocate of the top court. Since their marriage, their love story is going stronger day by day. The couple has a daughter, Bansuri.

Recently, when Swaraj was trolled on Twitter, her husband came to her rescue. In a bid to shame the troll, identified as Mukesh Gupta (@MG_IITDelhi), Kaushal shared the screenshot of the message he received on social media. "Your words have given us unbearable pain… Please do not use such words for her," he said.
