Walt Disney plans to lay off nearly 1,000 employees, mostly within its marketing department, as part of an efficiency drive code-named Project Imagine. The cuts represent less than 1% of the company's 231,000-strong workforce and follow the appointment of Josh D’Amaro as CEO.
