Diljit Dosanjh received significant assistance from director Imtiaz Ali in portraying musician Amar Singh Chamkila, known as the Elvis Presley of Punjab, in the upcoming film Chamkila. Dosanjh revealed that Ali would email him insights into how the late singer might have approached various situations.
