Master is a mass entertainer that is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who earlier made the 2019 film Kaithi. Thalapathy Vijay is the main lead, while Vijay Sethupathi is the antagonist. The film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Nasser, Arjun Das and Shantanu Bhagyaraj.
