The West Bengal government has launched the Annapurna Yojana to provide eligible women with monthly financial assistance of INR 3,000. The scheme will replace the existing Lakshmir Bhandar scheme, which has been operational since 2021. However, current beneficiaries will continue to receive payments under Lakshmir Bhandar until the transition process is completed.
