Under Pradhan Mantri Karma Yogi Maan Dhan, the Centre will roll-out a pension scheme for retailers and traders with annual turnover of less than Rs 1.5 crore. The total number of beneficiaries are estimated to be around 3 crore. The scheme is in accordance to the promise made to retailers by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in its manifesto for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
