Chandranath Rath, personal assistant to BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, was shot dead in Madhyamgram, West Bengal. Motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire while he was inside a vehicle. Police have launched an investigation, and the motive remains unclear. Adhikari is expected to visit the site.
