Central government employees and pensioners may see a 2-3 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) hike in their April 2026 salaries, potentially raising the total to 60 per cent. As the move would be backdated to January 1, the payout is expected to include three months of arrears. This adjustment will benefit five million employees and over six million retirees.
