The 57-year-old doctor said that he was staying at a hotel in Varanasi on Sunday, July 20, when he connected with a man on a gay dating app. Later, he invited the man identified as Vikas, who clicked nude photos of him and threatened to circulate them. The accused extorted INR 8 lakh from the victim before fleeing the spot.
