The central government has removed AGMUT cadre IAS officer Padma Jaiswal from service following a prolonged disciplinary process linked to corruption allegations dating back to 2007-08. The action came after the Delhi High Court restored disciplinary proceedings earlier quashed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, paving the way for the Centre to impose the penalty.
