Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has warned that licences of vendors overcharging for MSRTC NCMC smart cards will be cancelled. Complaints revealed passengers were charged above fixed rates of Rs 199 for new cards and Rs 149 for upgrades. The NCMC system aims to digitise concessions, with mandatory use for ST bus travellers planned soon.
