The deceased girl, identified as Chavi Sharma, was allegedly bitten by a rabid stray dog on June 30 in Delhi's Pooth Kalan area while she was on her way to visit her aunt. She died of rabies weeks later at a private hospital in Pitampura. Her family has demanded legal action against MCD officials.
