Five school staff members, including teachers and a peon, were arrested in Odisha for the alleged year-long rape of a Class 7 student. A female teacher was also held for abetment. Police have invoked the POCSO Act and the Education Department has suspended the accused. The survivor is receiving medical and psychological support.
