The Mumbai-Pune Expressway Missing Link will open to motorists from May 2 after its May 1 inauguration. Initially, only private cars, LMVs and passenger vehicles can use the route, while goods vehicles are restricted for six months. Vehicles carrying hazardous materials are permanently banned due to tunnel safety concerns.
