An initial report by the microbiology department of Mumbai’s JJ Hospital has found no bacterial infection in the bodies of four family members who died after consuming watermelon on April 26. Police and FDA officials are awaiting forensic science laboratory reports to determine the exact cause of death and whether any food consumed by the family contained poisonous substances.
