Today, February 13, Nikhil Gupta pleaded guilty in a Manhattan court to murder-for-hire and conspiracy charges related to a foiled plot to kill Sikh separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. Gupta admitted to coordinating the USD 100,000 hit at the behest of an Indian official. He faces a maximum of 40 years in prison.
