PM Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu, a landmark six-lane bridge over the Brahmaputra River that connects Guwahati with North Guwahati. Built at an estimated cost of ₹3,030 crore, the 1.24-kilometer structure is expected to reduce travel time between the two banks from over an hour to just seven minutes.
