The unfortunate accident took place on Monday, May 12, at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) station when the police constable, Dilip Somnath Ahiwale, was on his way to visit his family in Solapur after completing his duty on Sunday night. He was dragged to death by the train after he fell into the gap between a train and a platform.
