The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi, warning of moderate to severe thunderstorms, lightning and isolated hailstorms over the next two days. Weather officials said light to moderate rainfall is likely across several parts of the national capital, accompanied by strong winds reaching speeds of 50-60 kmph and gusts up to 70 kmph.
