Weather System Behind Delhi Rainfall
Meteorologists said the changing weather conditions are being influenced by multiple systems, including a western disturbance over the Himalayan region, an induced cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and adjoining areas, along with moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal.
The combined effect of these systems has increased humidity levels over Delhi and nearby regions, creating favourable conditions for intense thunderstorm activity and rain.
Temperature Likely to Stay High
Despite the expected rainfall, the IMD has forecast the maximum temperature in Delhi to hover around 43 degrees Celsius. However, rain and cloud cover may bring temporary relief from the prevailing heatwave conditions in several areas of the city.
Authorities are monitoring the weather situation closely as pre-monsoon activity intensifies across northwestern India.
