A retired ISRO employee, Nageshwar Rao (65), was arrested in Bengaluru on February 18, 2026, for strangling his wife, Sandya Sri. Police say Rao, who was battling depression, killed her out of fear for her future before intending to end his own life. A murder case has been registered at the Avalahalli police station.
