A festive pilgrimage turned into a tragedy on Sunday when a ropeway cable snapped at the Khallari Mata Temple in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund district. The accident, which occurred during the peak Navratri rush, resulted in the death of one person and left at least 17 others injured. Authorities confirmed that several trolleys stalled mid-air following the mechanical failure.
