The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu cognisance of the alleged gang rape of a woman by her husband and associates in Hyderabad. The NCW Chairperson has directed the DGP Telangana to register an FIR, arrest all accused, ensure an investigation and provide protection to the survivor. A detailed Action Taken Report has been sought within seven days.
