Kerala police have arrested at least three individuals, including a notorious repeat offender, in connection with the gang-rape of a spa employee in Pathanamthitta district. The assault allegedly took place on February 1 after the establishment’s owner refused to pay "goonda tax" (extortion money) demanded by a local criminal gang.
