The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation is set to modernize its fund disbursement process by integrating the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) into its system by April 2026. The digital overhaul is expected to significantly reduce the time taken to settle claims, thereby allowing millions of subscribers to receive their provident fund withdrawals directly into their bank accounts via UPI.
