Nearly 200 residents in Uttar Pradesh's Piprauli village got rabies vaccination as a precautionary measure after they found that the "raita" (a curd-based dish) they consumed at a funeral on Sunday, December 23, was made from the milk of a buffalo. The buffalo, which was bitten by a dog, later died on December 26. This led to a panic among villagers due to the fear of infection.
