A 38-year-old Meitei man, Mayanglambam Rishikanta, was abducted and shot dead in Manipur’s Churachandpur. A viral video captured the victim kneeling and pleading for mercy before being executed at close range by armed men. Police identified the victim, who was visiting his Kuki-Zo wife, and have launched a probe into the footage.
