Police said the incident took place a few months ago in the Panchkula police station area of Haryana, where the elderly wife of a former Army officer resides. Cyber fraudsters allegedly called her while impersonating Central Bureau of Investigation officers. They told her that drugs had been found in a parcel sent in her name and claimed that she was under “digital arrest”.
