The victim, Dinesh, was sleeping at his home in Delhi's Madangir, when his wife poured boiling oil on his torso and face. The victim told cops that after even before he could get up or call for help, his wife sprinkled red chilli powder on his burns. The incident came to light when Dinesh was brought to Safdarjung Hospital with severe burns and was admitted to the ICU in a critical condition.
